Wickford Waterfront Project

The Town issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) in 2019 to assist the town with the Wickford Waterfront Project, a key strategy towards implementing a multi-tiered approach to boosting the economy and vibrancy of Wickford.

The project scope includes designing better pedestrian connections between the village and the waterfront; increased docking opportunities for boats and kayaks; implementing low impact stormwater management with enhanced green infrastructure to mitigate storm water runoff and high tide flooding; improved vehicular circulation; improved signage, such as a wayfinding kiosk at the water’s edge and wayfinding pedestrian signage and improved lighting and landscaping.

The Beta-Inc group was selected to complete the project for the town.

There was a site visit on Monday, October 5th at 5:30 PM in the municipal parking lot where Beta received input on their initial design concepts for the improvements.

We would welcome any comments, suggestions or concerns regarding these alternatives.  Feel free to email Becky Lamond, Long Range Planner at blamond@northkingstown.org with your feedback or if you have any questions about the overall project.
