NOVEMBER 11 TO MARK VETERANS DAY OBSERVANCE

LIVE STREAMING

The North Kingstown official Facebook page will be offering live coverage of the annual observance.

10 AM TO START-OFF TRADITIONAL HONORS

The commemoration of Veterans Day in North Kingstown will begin at 10AM, Wednesday, November 11 with wreath laying ceremonies at the Civil War Memorial on the grounds of the town hall located at 80 Boston Neck Road along with the memorials at the nearby Veterans Memorial Park to pay homage to those lost in the nation’s armed conflicts.

ELEVENTH HOUR, ELEVENTH DAY, ELEVENTH MONTH

At 11 AM, members of the North Kingstown Parades Committee will be gathering at the World War Memorial at Updike Park in Wickford village for ceremonies to honor veterans and those currently serving in the armed forces. They will then turn their attention to placing a floral arrangement on the waters of Wickford Harbor to remember those who lost their lives at sea during wartime.

The two events are so planned to be in compliance with all the necessary requirements surrounding social-distancing.
