ECO-Depot Household Hazardous Waste Collection & Electronic Waste Recycling Drop-off Event

Sponsored by RI Resource Recovery with Indie Cycle, LLC hosted by North Kingstown DPW

Saturday, September 23, 2017 – 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.WHERE:  David R Burnham Public Works Facility, 2050 Davisville Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852

The Eco-Depot is a free collection for properly disposing of household hazardous waste from RI households. Household hazardous waste is anything labeled with a skull and crossbones, or words like 'toxic', 'poison', 'flammable', 'combustible', etc. Examples include mercury devices, automotive fluids, fertilizers, pesticides, pool chemicals, and polishes.  Appointments are made to prevent everyone from showing up at once, which reduces wait time in line. We try to service 25 cars every 15 minutes—you won’t even need to get out of your vehicle!

For more information or to make an appointment go to:; or call (401) 942-1430, x241.

Items accepted at NO charge:  Computers, laptops, monitors, routers, PDA's, cell phones, mice, keyboards, inkjet printer, toner cartridges, CD/DVD players, radios, televisions, network equipment, wires, stereo equipment, telephones, cameras, microwaves, small household appliances, and acid lead batteries including auto/marine and back-ups.

A $10 disposal fee is charged for each laser-jet printer, air conditioner, dehumidifier, and other coolant containing devices.

Not accepted: Light bulbs, single use batteries, tapes/disks, glass, or any hazardous materials such as paint or broken TV tubes.

Indie Cycle, LLC, has a zero landfill policy.  We do not remarket any hard drives or data storage devices.

All electronic materials are transported to ORS a local, R2 certified recycler for processing.
